A WORD FROM OUR CHILDREN'S PASTOR
I truly believe that it takes supportive family and a church to raise children to not only know Jesus, but to have a relationship with our Father. I have a very supportive husband, Chad Locke as well as three wonderful children - Gabe, Abby and Alaina. I have been a part of the Children's Ministry fo six years now and have loved watching all the children grow closer to God. My goal is to help our children to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus.
As a church we believe it is important to teach and instill the desire to pray, prophesy and heal in the name of Jesus. The children's ministry curriculum provides the necessary tools to follow what Christ has called us to do as Christians. On a typical Sunday your child will participate in worship, prayer time, Bible lessons, prophesying, crafts, games and fun.
We have realized that helping the family get to know Jesus is the most important way to reach a child. So, encouraging parents and supporting families is the main way we help the children grow closer to our Father. I encourage you to share your children with us on Sundays and watch them grow closer to God. If you feel led, we want you to be involved in what they are doing on Sunday mornings. Come spend some time with us and become like a child.
"People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place His hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. And he took the children in His arms and placed His hands on them and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16
